Due to the merger of Bank of America and MBNA, Money users will not be able to get automatic updates for credit card accounts that utilize synchronization with MBNA. Money users can export their information into Money from their credit card web site, but it will not be automatically updated. We're sorry for this inconvenience. To learn more about the merger, please click the link above which will take you to the Bank of America FAQ. ================================================== == I suspect there could be a change in this later, but for now at least you will need to download from the MBNA website. http://www.mbna.com/customer_information.html |

| I am a long time Money user with Money 2006 Deluxe and Windows XP. I have a VISA account that was provided and branded by Wachovia Bank, but serviced by MBNA. I used to be able to upload my right from Wachovia when I uploaded my other Wachovia accounts directly. That stopped early in October when Bank of America took over MBNA. I called Wachovia and they told me I need to deal directly with MBNA as they are no longer providing the activity for their VISA cards. I spoke to MBNA/Bank of America and they told me account activity would not be available until after 10/25/06 as they were in the process of taking over MBNA. When I accessed my account directly through the internet, I could not obtain a login from the Bank of America website. I again called Bank of America and was told that the former MBNA VISA cards need to be accessed via "FIA Card Services" at www.fiacardservices.com. I can now log into their website and see my activity. So, my next step was to set up Money to get back in service with my daily updates. "FIA Card Services" is a supported financial institution via a third party provider (CashEdge) and Passport (which I already am using and synchronizing with). When setting this up, it instructs you to use the same login you utilize to access your account on the internet, which I am. I have not been able to successfully set up this account. Every time I attempt to do this, the summary information states that "Your last call encountered an error. Please try setting up these accounts again". I go online to the MSN Account Status page to see what error message from CashEdge is coming through and it states error message "5003", which basically states the same thing that the account was not updated successfully and to please try again. This has gone on for two days and multiple attempts. So, bottom line is that I can access my account through FIA Card Services just fine on the internet, but not through Money. I contacted Bank of America again and they state that if I can access it through the internet and not through Money, it is a problem with Money's third party provider. What is my next step? Uploading transactions manually through the internet is a poor option as they are only providing that option for previous statement and not recent activity. This is all very frustrating...............Thanks for any help. Tom |
