| I've had this issue for several versions of Money. I recently upgraded to MM2007, and one of my old investments is still showing up in my home page. I had this investment in three different accounts, with splits and returns of capitals, making all this quite messy. In the last transaction for each account, I tried to add some decimals, until the "cannot have negative shares" error disappeared. I also tried the "Work with investments/Update your shares", with same results. Any more clues? When I go to the details of this investment, or the accounts, it seems as if there should be no traces of it, but still shows up in the home page... I've also tried repairing the file. Any more ideas? ![]() Thanks! Jose On Jan 20, 7:45 am, Steve G. <Ste...[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: - quote - > I had this for several stocks/mutual funds I no longer owned. | I had this for several stocks/mutual funds I no longer owned. For some, just using chaing the number of shares in the sell transactions, gradually adding to the decimal portion until money wouldn't let me finish the update (cannot have negative shares was the error) worked. The last one I just fixed today. I went into Portfolio Manager/Work with Investments/Update your shares and then updated the quantity of the investment to 0.000000. That worked! No idea why the transaction level updates didn't fix that one. How can I get them not to show up in the summary? Thanks you have absolutely zero shares (i.e. no fractionals), upgrading to M07 will do the trick! Regards, JB |
