| I don't know of any way to prevent prices from being updated when Money opens (the option you refer to is something different). One thought: make a backup, then delete the ticker symbols from all of your securities. Does that make a difference? -- Michael Gordon "Steve's News" <steveroe[at]swbell.net.remove_this> wrote in message news:%23bYtbBf9GHA.4964[at]TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... - quote - > I did, but I have deleted most of the old ones that are no longer used. | I did, but I have deleted most of the old ones that are no longer used. I only have 7 that are selected to update, and I have the automatic update turned off. I wonder if that is it, is there some other way to turn that option off? | Do you have a lot of investments? Money may be updating their prices. -- Michael Gordon "Steve's News" <steveroe[at]swbell.net.remove_this> wrote in message news:OaN4Wod9GHA.3348[at]TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... - quote - > When money 2006 starts up, there is a period of time that it doesn't allow > me to "update accounts" because it says "another operation is in > progress". | When money 2006 starts up, there is a period of time that it doesn't allow me to "update accounts" because it says "another operation is in progress". In addition, my computer reports 100% cpu usage during this time, usually this lasts around 45 seconds. I have checked the usual options about turning off automatic updates, sponsor links, displaying cash flow on home page. Anybody have more ideas, or is this usual? |
