Default RE: MS 2005 Recurring Payments

No, it's not transfers. I've been able to match those up most of the time.

Believe me, I am no expert on this. But I have observed the same thing with
one of my investment accounts, and I think it happens like this:
I make a monthly investment purchase using funds from my money market
account. This is really just a transfer from one account to another; a
transaction has to show up in both accounts.

Now as it happens, I seldom download transactions from my bank for the
money market account. But on those rare occasions when I do download, I
believe it marks BOTH accounts - investment acct and money market, with an
E. In the investment account this does look rather mysterious, since I am
downloading for the sake of the money market account. So...are your
transactions by any chance really transfers from account to account?

Default MS 2005 Recurring Payments

I've used MS Money for 10 years, but this one has me stumped...

In Bills & Deposits I've set up some auto payment entries (not bill pay,
just entry into register).

Problem is when it enters the payment into the register for the account, it
shows as and electronic download from my bank (Cleared column shows "E"). At
the same time, when I right-click and select Mark As..., it shows
Unreconciled. When I look at the Bills and Deposits page, it says it was
cleared my bank, which it has not.

How to I get it to enter a transaction without it showing with the "E" or
thinking it has cleared? In addition, it is not recognizing the transaction
when it doesn download from the bank, so it will be entered twice if I don't
catch it.
