| Track? Yes. Enter Reinvest Interest transactions from statement data. Estimate? That's not tracking. That's predicting. There are a couple of approaches coming to mind. Somewhere along the line (may have been after M02) a savings account could have an interest rate assigned in Details and Forecast Cash Flow could include that interest accrual in its forecasts. Of course, Best Practice is generally to treat an MMF as an Investment Account, so this doesn't work there. The other way that comes to mind is to schedule the interest as a deposit. Of course, you can't schedule a Reinvest Dividend so this has its problems as well. (Money, quite lamely, will not allow scheduling whole classes of transactions you can easily enter.) I guess I'm getting to: not easily. Excel is quite frequently a handy companion to Money. | Hello, I needed to know if there was a way for Money 2002 (version that shipped with Works 2002) to track the interest I earn on my Money Market account. Is there a way to estimate how much I will earn by a certain date if I continue depositing the same amount monthy? Thanks, Jeff |
