Good data point.

Cryptic/obtuse behavior. Never would have thought to try it that way.

You probably don't even need a bogus classification. Just select All, then
uncheck one of them and then reselect it.

In all the user defined reports I've messed with where this was an
objective, selecting JUST the classifications I was interested in excluded
all unclassified items. Selecting ALL classifications means ALL and None. If
this is an issue--i.e., you want to report every one of your classifications
but no unclassified--just define one bogus classification you can exclude.

Default How might I "blanket-assign" a custom category classification?

Hi again,
I would like to be able to take advantage of Money 2006's feature of
adding a classification, such as "Family", to slice my data yet another
way. However, for me to use it effectively in reports, I need to be able
to deselect xactions that don't have a user-defined classification;
don't see how I can do this in Money 2006, which leaves me with
assigning a default classification for all transactions, including,
ideally, new ones, which I can then filter in/out as needed.

Any ideas? Or is the point where writing out to Excel for further
manipulation kicks in? No problem for me to do so, just that I would be
very surprised if it has to come to that.

Thanks!
SB
