| I think what most people who find themselves in a similar position do is use the Favorite Accounts on the Home Page as the default and only go to the Account List when they want to view/access a less-used account. -- Michael Gordon "brett" <account[at]cygen.com> wrote in message news:1160252689.901832.103350[at]i3g2000cwc.googlegroups.com... - quote - > Dick Watson wrote: > > I guess this is why you can tag an account as Favorite and put Favorite > > Accounts on the home page. I guess I'm looking for a customized account list. You are right that> Accounts on the home page. The only alternative on the Account List page is > to mark an account as closed and suppress showing the closed accounts. I'm > not sure where the sense would be in having an account list that didn't list > your accounts. the account list should show all accounts. But than I'd like to create my own version of the account list. If I have Macy's VISA and Macy's Store credit cards that are used only once or twice, I don't want them taking up real estate on my screen. I only use them to take advantage of sales offered if you have those cards. Then I quickly pay the balance. I don't need to see them every time I look at the account list. They are almost always zero. What are the ramifications of using a closed account as an active one? One problem is that if I enter a charge of $100, it doesn't show on my "Credit Accounts" balance. Now, if I forget that I entered the $100, my credit card due date comes and goes, and I get a nice late fee. I could probably open the account just for the period of time I use it but that gets cumbersome. I suppose there isn't a clean or easy way to do it regardless. Thanks, Brett |

| I guess this is why you can tag an account as Favorite and put Favorite Accounts on the home page. The only alternative on the Account List page is to mark an account as closed and suppress showing the closed accounts. I'm not sure where the sense would be in having an account list that didn't list your accounts. | In Money 2004, is there a way to choose the account I'd like to appear in the account list? The is the only view I use but some accounts are rarely used and I don't want them taking up space on the account list? For example, if I could have only favorite accounts display that would be great. I can sort by favorites but I like sorting by account type since it categorizes everything. Once I need to view a non favorite account, I could get at it by other means. Any suggestions? Thanks, Brett |
