| IE7 has made cookie settings more strict. I have had to add site names for most places I log in to. To get logged in from the start screen in MS Money 2006, All I did was to add the following to the Allow Cookies list: live.com msn.com passport.com passport.net and made sure microsoft.com was in the list. You can find it in IE7 under Tools, Internet Options, Privacy Tab, Site button. | You might want to limit "live.com" to just login.live.com since there are other domains (such as spaces) which you may not want to allow free reign. I'd also suggest also adding g.msn.com So the list would be: moneycentral.msn.com fdl.microsoft.com passport.com passport.net login.live.com g.msn.com money:// -Mark "Mark" <abcd[at]abcd.com> wrote in message news:u0NXJzV6GHA.3732[at]TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... - quote - > Try adding the various sites that Money may access to "Trusted Sites" in > IE: > moneycentral.msn.com > fdl.microsoft.com > passport.com > passport.net > live.com > money:// > -Mark > "bman" <bman[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:71D423AF-2160-4E3A-A14F-F41462A28F46[at]microsoft.com... > > Do you have to do this EVERY time? | Try adding the various sites that Money may access to "Trusted Sites" in IE: moneycentral.msn.com fdl.microsoft.com passport.com passport.net live.com money:// -Mark "bman" <bman[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:71D423AF-2160-4E3A-A14F-F41462A28F46[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > Do you have to do this EVERY time? | Do you have to do this EVERY time? Or is this a one time thing and then you're good? I'd like to upgrade to IE7, but not if there are issues like this. "J. | I got advice somewhere else, and I'm sharing here. It worked for me... 1 - Shut down Money 2 - Go to http://moneycentral.msn.com and login using your Money Passport email & password. 3 - While still logged in, reopen Money and type your password. It is working for me. JD |

| I had to uncheck, close IE, start IE, check it again. Currently I have it unchecked and it is working fine, only needed to do the check uncheck etc once after I installed ie7 and then removed it. | This fixed a similar error (would not acknowledge network connection) in Outlook Express for me. IE Tools Internet Options LAN Settings check Automatic detect settings. | Actually, I'm using Opera so I can't even blame IE7. It's a mystery to me "Foxy" wrote: - quote - > IE7 seems to have caused the problem. | I have the same problem. I have a new PC with DSL connection and a wireless router. I am trying to setup Money for the first time but at the point where it wants my passport details it opens the Internet dialler dialogue box and asks which connection I want to use. Well, the router does the dialling for me and even worse AT THAT EXACT MOMENT I am actually already connected to the internet! It just tells me each time that my sign in info could not be verified and that's it. i can't even get the thing started. I looked at the troubleshooting page and I have tried disabling my firewall - no joy. Very frustrating. Any help greatly appreciated. | Exact same thing happened to me. After installing IE7, I immediately get the message: "Tour sign-in information could not be verified. Please check your internet connection and try again, or select the Work Offline check box to work offline." when I try to sign in. | The same thing is happening to me. I cannot sign into Money unless I check the 'Work Offline' box. This happened when I d/l IE7 (which I since uninstalled) - I do not have a firewall enabled and I do not know how I can get Money to recognise my internet connection. (I have Money 2005 UK version). Thanks for any help J.Delage wrote: - quote - > Hi, > I can't sign in into Money 2006 unless I check the "Work offline" box on the > signup page. | Hi, I can't sign in into Money 2006 unless I check the "Work offline" box on the signup page. Then I can open fine, but obviously I can't download my statements. This is the first time I have such a problem. How do I resolve it? (BTW, the error I get is "The email address or password is incorrect", which they aren't...) Thanks, JD |
