| I had the exact same problem after I upgraded from money2004 to money2007. After I tried to repair my money file several times with no success, I selected FILE-> REPAIR MONEY FILE-> REMOVE ALL BILLS DATA. Now my program works fine with no problems. If you try this solution make sure that you print your bills summary first so that you can reenter all of you bills accurately. Good luck to everyone. | The problem appears to be related to bills. Both in the sample file and my original file when a transaction has an entry over in Bills the program freezes after entering the transaction. It's almost as if the Money is having problems reconciling the two entries. The one exception to this was an unscheduled deposit (not in Bills) which also froze the program. | I've been using Money since the mid 90s and have to tell you that it seems to be getting worse by the pgrade. I'm like you--wish I could go back to ver. 2004. Everything worked great. My 2007 program doesn't freeze but it reacts slowly as I move from one menu item to another. I've been using Quicken 2006 for about a year now and it loads much quicker the Money 2007. I'm thinking about making the my changeover to Quicken permanant. In fact I just bought Quicken 2007. At least it allows me to attach receipts, copies of cancelled checks and statements to individual transactions in my account registers. I must right click on the task bar and select close as it's all I can do with the program when it freezes. It is saving the transaction that was entered. But it's extremely frustrating. Is there some way I can revert to Money 2005? I never had this problem with a Money product. Unfotunately in this state it's unusable for me, and without a fix this loyal Money user (for the past 9 years) will have to look at Quicken... |
