Thanks for the replies. I discovered that I could go to mybank, credit
card, etc. and download into Money. It would be simpler to be able to do
that from within Money, but I don't want to bother with Passport and had
trouble settingit up besides, so I guess I'lljust leaveit this way.

Check http://www.microsoft.com/money/bankonline.aspx

If the description for the account does not say "third party" for
any account you need to download from, then you do not need a
Passport on the file.

IF you insist on downloading transactions AND your FI does not support Money
directly ("Direct Connect") THEN you must use a Passport. This is the case
for what are referred to as "Via Third Party" downloads.

All it takes is a Passport. It takes nothing else, MSN or otherwise.

I use MS 2005 and I do not sign in with a MS Passport or for that fact
even a password. I turned off that function by going to
File---> Password Manager---> Remove.

As far as setting up MS Money without Passport I'm not sure but check
this out:

Default Do I have to have a passport

I've recently installed MS Money 2005 and have imported my Quicken files. I
think I like Money better, but the program wants me to get a passport to set
up downloading transactions.

Is there anyway I can avoid doing this? I don't see why I should have to
sign up with something from MSN--and I don't want Hotmail, messanging or any
of that stuff.

If I do go ahead, is there any reason for updating to 2006 or 2007?
