Great you found Deluxe. Besides updating legacy Money files, Printing Checks
isn't Essential, either.

Thanks for the feedback.

You know, sometimes its the easiest things that get ya. I did download
essentials because the only reason why I tried out money in the first place
was to print checks. I wanted to see if essentials had this feature, so if I
did want to buy the program, I wouldn't have to spend more for stuff I don't
use. I downloaded the 07 deluxe trial, converted my files and problem
solved. Thanks guys!

Did you search in the same folder where your .mny file was located.?

I if you change you mind, you might see
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/917377/en-us

I have assumed you had purchased Money 2006 online.

Did you download the Money Essentials trial? (MEss for short.) If so, it's
not what you want. What you want is Money Deluxe. MEss is completely useless
for existing Money users. They also tend to find "Essentials" as "Useless".

Well, I can't find any m15 files, I don't think it did the conversion. A new
problem has poped up, I found the trial version download link again (luckly),
but now when I open money, its having some serious issues. When I first
start the program a download dialog opens up asking me where I want to save
MNY49.surfplace. If I cancle out of that I get a navigation cancled where
the program body is suppost to be. If I hit file open, I get a C++ runtime
error. Time to go back to pen and paper

When Money converted your *.mny file to Money 2007, it left a copy
of the Money 2006 version as *.m15 . Copy that file to
something.mny, and you can then open that file with Money 2006.

Default Money 2006 to 2007?!

I was trying out Money 2006, I downloaded the trial, spent a few days
inputting all my data and then I saw 2007 came out, so I gave it a download.
I wouldent let me use my old data so I just made a new money file with a
diffrent name, just so I could get in and look around. Well for somereason
2006 started saying it cant open my old data file "Microsoft Money cannot
open other versions of Money files" but I know its a 2006 file. I tried to
open it in 2007 and same thing. So I unintsalled both versions and went to
install 2006 again to see if I can open it, and I can't find the install
anymore on the internet, its all 2007 now! Even if I do get this all sorterd
out, am I going to have to import it all again anyway if I switched to 07?
You would think you could import old files, how does ms expect people to keep
finicial records if you cant open previous versions data files?
