Default Re: Microsoft Money 2002 Deluxe budget

The reason why I wanted my budget planner to take into consideration only one
account was the fact that each of my accounts is based in a different
country, and thus operates in different currencies. And since I'm moving to
the UK, I wanted my budget planner to consider only my Pounds account, to
which I would transfer most of my total savings anyway.

As goes for my first post, I must have phrased my intentions wrong. What I
meant to ask was how to make the budget planner cover a single account. And
after some more time spent on Money I've found out how to do this - so I'm
happy . However, as you said, it's going to take me some more time to get
the complete hang of this program.

In any case, thanks for your reply - it helped me set my thinking straight.
'Appreciate it

Thank you,
Witek

With all due respect your question is too incomplete to answer.

It is difficult to imagine a budget that could work with only one account
but I guess its possible. Maybe there are transfers involved and that is
causing the problem. I don't exclude any accounts from the budget planner
since that would make my budget inaccurate.

The Cash Flow review does not deduct anything from any account, it merely
reports the activity you have scheduled to occur in Bills and Deposits. You
can restrict the Cash Flow review to cover a single account or have it cover
multiple accounts.

I use M2002 and can assure you that the budget and cash flow features work
perfectly. Think through what you are doing and make sure your logic is
sound. And watch what happens when you make changes. Money takes time to
learn.

Default Microsoft Money 2002 Deluxe budget

Hey,

I've just started my experience with Microsoft Money in general and -
surprsie, surprise - have encountered a problem.

I've created a budget, which I'd like to be assigned to ONLY ONE of my
accounts. And in fact, this is the case. However, every time I click on my
Cash Flow review, my budget automatically deducts resources from my X
account, while I'd like it to deduct resources from only my Y account. I've
already unticked the option "Include this account in the budget planner" for
all but my Y account, yet MM'02 just seems to not get it!

Please help. I'm getting extremely frustrated over this and I wouldn't be at
all surprised if I overlooked some petty option tickbox along the way.

Thank you in advance,
Witek
