Either open the sample.mny file in your install folder, or let
Money 2005 create a new Money file, clicking Decline in the
process. It will do an update. Close Money. Then open Money and
check that Help-> About... says you then have version 14.0.*.1105.

Then you should be able to open or restore your existing files.

Default Financial suite

Hi. I have a new hard drive installed and reinstalled Money FS onto it.
When i try to open my Money files i get a message telling me that it will
upgrade my file and convert it to the new version of mMoney. It then tells
me that it cannot locate my backup file. I copied all my file and replaced
tham on the new disk so I know it is actually there. Any help would be
appreciated and please be gentle with me as I am a bit technically challenged.
