Still getting the problem. SP2; IE6. Perhaps there's something in your registry interfering; maybe even something left over from a previous version of Money. There are some tools to "completely uninstall" various versions of Money on the MS Web Site. But I don't know that would help. Sorry. Have you tried MS tech support? It's free, and, if you're persistent, you'll eventually get escalated to 2nd and even third tier support people. They may be able to help. --ron |

| This file does exist and is not unique to Money 99. It's in the "MNYCoreFiles" folder for Money 2005/6/7 Rams3377, have you tried registering the msxml files as described in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/814144/en-us -Mark "Ron Rosenfeld" <ronrosenfeld[at]nospam.org> wrote in message news:f5pih29oiq8tfp1g4vaasleqau62tircvv[at]4ax.com... - quote - > On Tue, 26 Sep 2006 10:27:02 -0700, Rams3377 > <Rams3377[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: > > oops wrong dll file. i'ts mnyob99.dll > That's wierd. Given that, I would see if you still get the crash using either Safe Mode (with networking support), or a "Clean Boot". For Clean Boot, see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353/ If you don't get the crash, you have a conflict someplace. --ron |

| Hey everyone thanks for all the advice. I have resetted the planner and unfortunately that didn't work. I'm Using Windows XP and i was using money 2006 that came with my laptop before i upgrading to 2007. I installed a trial version of quickbooks. I don'tknow if that would cause the error. But it still will crash right after I input the debts that I want to use in my plan. |

My Money 2007 will reproducibly crash in certain areas when that program is running. Since it also occurs with the sample file, it is possible that there is a conflict with another program. Have you installed any new programs just prior to when the crashing started? Try doing a clean boot (how to do that would depend on your OS) and see if the crash still occurs. If it does not, that indicates a conflict with another program. Add back the programs one at a time until you find the one that is a problem. To do a clean boot in Windows XP, the procedure is outlined at support.microsoft.com --ron |

| I have been having an interesting problem the last few days. I’ve been trying to set up a debt reduction plan and it crashes before it makes it to the third page. Everywhere I looked I have seen a problem like this. I tried repairing the file, reinstalling money, even upgraded to 2007. I’m not sure if this is an issue with my hard drive or ram. I’ve tested the RAM using Microsoft RAM testing tool and it passed. Any suggestions? This error even occurs with the sample file. Thanks Everyone! Rams |
