I had the same problem with an Ameritrade account. After contacting them
via phone and email back in mid August I did eventually get a message back
where they said they had a problem and would be fixing it (sometime).

I'm pretty sure the problem is with how the FI formats the data, not with
how Money interprets the data. I know of many instances where these kinds of
transactions are imported accurately.

It an Ameritrade account. Deleting the split manually resolcved the issue.
Now I have to go back and correct all of many adjusting I did in the past

I do not have the problem you describe in my TD Waterhouse account. My
dividend reinvestments get downloaded as a dividend and a buy
transaction in the amount of the dividend. I'm running Money 2004, and
it has worked fine for years. Is your account an ex-TD Waterhouse
account or Ameritrade account?

I don't have that problem. It may be due to the way your brokerage formats the
download.

However, to reverse a split, go to the option to update prices manually. In
that list you should see a "split" transaction. Merely delete it, and the
split goes away, with the BUYs changed back to the correct number of shares.

Jink:

Same here. It started maybe 4 or 5 months ago.

Vanguard mutual fund dividend reinvestment when downloaded, is treated
as a 1 for 1 stock split.

I don't have to edit any BUYS to correct the # of shares though.

What I do is is:
From Portfolio view, choose Update prices > Update prices manually...
select the offfending investment from the drop down list and delete the
split.

Hope this helps.

Default Money 2007 and misstreatment of Dividend Re-investment.

Does anyone have the issue when downloading TD/Ameritrade transactions that
are dividend re-investment. All of mine are treated as Splits and change all
buy based on it faulty split information. The only way I have found to
correct is to edit all 'BUYS' to the correct # of Shares. With a stock that
pays monthly is a lot of work each monts to correct.
