Hi Richard From another Kiwi who has not been here long, welcome to the US. I'm currently in CA but have a BofA account in WA.I'm using Money 2006 and have also noticed what you are experiencing. For this reason, I manually enter my transactions daily (I don't have that many) and when I do an online update using Money they get matched correctly and the details I enter are automatically accepted. I assume that it is the result of a merger, and them not wanting to> moved to direct download, but thankfully I made a backup before hand, and so > now I've just returned to that backup and the old web download system. I would guess they would be working toward a painless synthesis, and let's hope that would give the direct OFX servers to all of their customers.

Thanks for the tip Cal. I did indeed have an issue with duplicates when I moved to direct download, but thankfully I made a backup before hand, and so now I've just returned to that backup and the old web download system. It's certainly not as convenient as direct download, but at least I get the information entered correctly in a readable format. I still don't get why Bank of America WA (and CA and ID) have different systems from all the other States... but then I'm a foreigner (NZ), and am still working out how things do and don't work here ![]() Cheers, Richard "Cal Learner-- MVP" <via_newsgroup[at]please.tnx> wrote in message news:av80h21jbc909bf2do7bm43pamos2sapcf[at]4ax.com... - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, Richard Stott wrote: > > OK well thanks for the prompt response Cal. I hope that your bank does not thwart password caching as most banks> then. are doing these days. These web login procedures are getting to be a pain.

OK well thanks for the prompt response Cal. Back to web download for me then. BoA WA does not provide direct direct OFX servers as many banks> However, the transactions do not appear in the same way as when I used the > old OFX web download from the BoA site. > Previously with web download the transactions would appear with the name of > the Payee in the Pay To field. Instead the information comes in via a third party. So there is no configuration setting you could make that would make the data come in as you wish.

Hi, I have Direct Download with Money 2007 working fine and I'm with BoA WA. However, the transactions do not appear in the same way as when I used the old OFX web download from the BoA site. Previously with web download the transactions would appear with the name of the Payee in the Pay To field. Now with direct download, I just get PURCHASE and then a string of numbers (the transaction ID I guess). This also then appears in Memo and with the actual Payee at the very end of the string. I don't like this new system as in the standard account view I only see numbers under Payee and have to go into Memo to see who the actual Payee is. Does anyone know if there is a way to config the direct download process so that it enters the details in a similar way to how it works using OFX? Thanks in advance, Richard
