| Just an update on the statement download problem. I just downloaded my Sept. statement again and all transactions were listed "this time". So it seems that the problem was with the bank all the time. Thanks for your help! | Cal, - quote - > Could it be that they have more than one link to download from, and
They only allow a monthly statement to be downloaded. Daily transactions are> you picked the "balance" vs. the transactions download? Is it > possible there is a date range that you have to specify? That is why I tried M07-CashEdge for a couple of weeks, but I was disappointed in that result. Some transactions did come down and some didn't. I would just as soon enter each transaction daily, then download the Monthly statement. - quote - > You should probably be able to download the Quicken (QFX file)
The QFX statement did contain the transactions, but included an erroneous> statement, if they offer that, and then File-> Import. I now suspect it is a problem with MBNA. If it is not working soon I will> of the OFX download. contact them. Thanks for your help! John |

Unless the QIF file transactions were all from this month, I doubt> downloads that the transaction info has been removed? Maybe next month's > download will contain transaction info? it. Since you did not get the transactions from those OFX files even once, I don't think that the fact that this is a subsequent download could be the problem. That would be an unusual way for them to handle it, but the fact is that you did not get the transactions downloaded even when you first downloaded the OFX and fed it directly to Money. Could it be that they have more than one link to download from, and you picked the "balance" vs the transactions download? Is it possible there is a date range that you have to specify? From your description, I would guess that they have a method that implies the range to be a specified month. You should probably be able to download the Quicken (QFX file) statement, if they offer that, and then File-> Import. The OFX file should be including your transactions, so workarounds should be unneeded. It is possible that the bank customer support could help in the case of the OFX download. |

I saved the OFX file to disk and opened it in a text editor. Below is what the file contains. It doesn't seem to contain the 49 transactions that the ..QIF file contained. I also went back to last months OFX file and downloaded it and it did not contain any transatctions either. Does this mean that once the file has been downloaded that in subsequent downloads that the transaction info has been removed? Maybe next month's download will contain transaction info? Check Confirm Open After Download to give you pop-up box that includes an option to save to disk. |

I tried to save the download to disk, but when I right-clicked the downloadlink, there was no option to save it to disk. It just would automatically be sent to the MBNA credit card account, then I would receive the message that said "Import Complete". |

You might try saving the OFX file to disk and examining it with a text editor such as Notepad. Check to see that there are indeed transactions there that you had not previously downloaded. Also make sure that there is no "&" that is not part of "&". Actually I would not expect that & to be the problem given the symptoms. | Money 2007. After trying out the CashEdge downloads from MBNA and not being satisfied with that type of online downloads I stopped using the automatic account updates. I would rather just update my accounts when I feel like it. Now, after downloading my monthly statement from MBNA, I get the confirmation that the import was complete. However I see nothing that has been downloaded. This is using the Active Statement for M99 and later, as I used to use before letting Money07 and CashEdge do this for me. I went back to MBNA and downloaded a QIF and it was imported into my file. But it insisted on adding a long digit into the Number Column, which I had to go back and delete, (49) transactions. I have already done the "delete temporary internet files" and did the Quick file repair, but still I cannot get the Active Statement for Money to show up. Hope someone can help! Thanks John |
