| View was set to all transactions, and changing view didn't make a difference. It turned out that exiting and restarting Money didn't help either, but exiting, rebooting Windows, and then restarting Money fixed it. Some kind of memory glitch, maybe. | Which version of Money are you using, Garry? This issue was common a couple of versions ago, but then fixed by -- I think -- Money 06. -- Michael Gordon MVP "Garry" <Eli1962[at]gmail.com> wrote in message news:1158526007.659009.246130[at]i3g2000cwc.googlegroups.com... - quote - > In balancing my checking account in Money 2006, I needed to add a few > items that weren't in the register. | In balancing my checking account in Money 2006, I needed to add a few items that weren't in the register. One of those items didn't show up in the register after I added it, though it did show up if I did a search on the payee. I postponed the balance, exited the account, and then re-entered. Still had the same thing. Finally, I entered the item a 2d time, after which it showed up, and I could proceed as normal. The phantom transaction still shows up in a search on the payee name (which shows two essentially identical transactions on the same date in the same account), but it's not in the register. In the search dialogue, one option if I right-click on the item is to edit it, so I changed the payee name slightly, but it still doesn't appear in the register. Maybe this is a new undiscovered feature of Money, but it's not a confidence-builder, and I'd feel better if I understood what's going on. I worry less about this transaction than about the possibility Money can do weird and random things for no particular reason. |
