| This actually has happened to me several times, and I fixed it like this: - Go to File-> Repair Money File-> Quick Repair and follow the instructions. It must be a bug, especially considering that it is happening so often to me. "stiglo" wrote: - quote - > Thanks. Wow. They have Direct OFX access-- the best kind. There should be a> MS Money 2007 Deluxe Bank is Washington Mutual...it lists Microsoft Money > 2002 and newer as a download option, which is what I use. > Also, I have never had this happen...it just started happening, and I can > not get it straightened out! field in each transaction that identifies it uniquely. So Money would know rather than guess that a transaction has been seen or not seen already. On occasion a provider can get things reset and somehow provide old transactions with a new transaction ID. This is an error if it occurs. To work around it, Delete or Void the duplication. The good news is that this is typically a one-time event. There is more than one way this can work. One way is that you delete the un-read transactions by right-clicking there it says you have "Transactions to Read:". Select the last item on the list - "Delete Statement". In some cases the deleted transactions will not reappear-- depending on how the bank handles the request. If the same duplications occur when you re-download, Void the new transactions that have been accepted in the register. Do that by right-clicking and choosing Void. To get all of the new transactions together, sort by View:SortBy-> SortByEnryOrder. That is easier than finding the older transactions to delete. If you have mis-matched some transactions, you might want to File-> Restore the backup from a few days ago before proceeding. You could restore to a new name, or keep a copy of the file before restore if you might have something that you wish you had not overwritten. - quote - > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > In microsoft.public.money, stiglo wrote: > > > > All of a sudden, everytime I download recent transactions from my Bank, Money > > > duplicates the entry. | Sorry for not including that info... MS Money 2007 Deluxe Bank is Washington Mutual...it lists Microsoft Money 2002 and newer as a download option, which is what I use. Also, I have never had this happen...it just started happening, and I can not get it straightened out! | All of a sudden, everytime I download recent transactions from my Bank, Money duplicates the entry. Furthermore, if Money associates the transaction to a future occurence of an event, it will not let me change it. Lastly, if I try to match a downloaded transaction to one that I have already entered, Money will not list it in the "Change Transaction Matching" screen. Help! |
