Phishing did come to mind... But if they list something like what credit
card was previously used--by any information that can't be easily guessed
with decent probability like a *4567 style partial account number--maybe not
so much.

I've never heard of such a message -- maybe it's not from MS and is a scam?

Perhaps I'm not a condescending bargain-hunter like yourself.

Nor why pay $59.95 when it's available at Office Depot or Sam's for far
less.

Default Full Product Activation on Money 2005?

I recently received an email message from Microsoft. "We have
recently attempted to charge your Microsoft Money 2005 Deluxe, Full
Product Activation (one-time charge of $39.95 plus tax) to the credit
card on file for your account. Please accept this reminder that your
credit card has passed its expiration date and needs to be updated.
The following credit card is the current payment method on your
billing account: etc.

I paid $59.95 for Money 2005 when I bought it last September. I was
not aware that Money 2005 is a subscription. Is it?

Thanks for your help.
