First, keep an extra copy of your later *.mbf files and *.mny
file(s).

I am a little unclear on what happens.

What indication do you get that makes you think you forgot your
password? Do you remember having a password, but you cannot remember
it, or is it that you thought you knew your password, but Money is
not recognizing it. If the latter, then it may just be a version
mismatch.

I would try http://support.microsoft.com/kb/902466/en-us ,including
considering using "Download the M06-Repair.exe package now", link on
your file.

Default I have forgotten my Microsoft Money 2005 password

I have forgotten my Microsoft Money 2005 password and the help says to goto
file and then change in password manager but all I get when I go to the file
is New open and restor backup.
Can I even sign in to open my Money file? Or do I start all over again.
