| I don't think this is the best place for such a question. If you want to ask how to track your 401k in Money, ask here; if you want to ask what investments to purchase for your 401k, I suggest the misc.invest.financial-plan newsgroup. It's moderated so you don't get a bunch of irrelevant posts, net nannies, or trolls. Beware that some respondents are conservative to the point of advising against ANY debt, including reasonable car loans. But the advice you'll get there is generally balanced, sensible and, in many cases, backed by citations referring you to publications from which the respondent formed the basis of their opinions. -- Chris Cowles Gainesville, FL <heportillo[at]gmail.com> wrote in message news:1157640526.022074.207110[at]i3g2000cwc.googlegroups.com... - quote - > Hi, > My company is just beginning their 401k plan. | Try looking up the funds at http://www.morningstar.com/ You can also go to the funds and look up the details http://www.americanfunds.com/funds/r...abetically.htm Personally, I believe that you should be primarily invested in a broadbased US growth stock fund with some of the money in international funds at your age. You might want a mix of large cap (60%) and small cap US (20%) with the last 20% in international stocks. However, it is your money, your risk and your choice. Personally, I do not like funds with front end charge. The expense ratio should be as low as possible. Myself I tend to prefer index funds because of lower costs. -- Jon Hildrum DTS MVP Jon_Hildrum[at]msn.com www.hildrum.com <heportillo[at]gmail.com> wrote in message news:1157640526.022074.207110[at]i3g2000cwc.googlegroups.com... - quote - > Hi, > My company is just beginning their 401k plan.
