Default Money and funds in $, £ and ?

I run Money 2005 UK version and cannot understand why Money is able to deal
with funds in ? but not with funds in $.
I can download quotes for funds in both currencies. However, my $ fund quote
is converted into £ and so is the value of my investment. However my gain
(in may case unfortunately a loss :-) is still in $ which makes it much
bigger compared with the value in £.

If I do a report of my net value, my $ investment funds is valued correctly.

I do not have the same problems with funds in ?. Here the quote, value and
price history are showed correctly.

Why cannot Money do the same with the $ funds ?

Hope you can help.

Cheers,
