Should the opening balance be a credit? enter a regular transaction that pre-dates the others to compensate for where I started. It might not have a payee or category. The memo would state that it was an adjustment for prior un-entered transactions. That way it is easier to see and get to. However entering the number as the "Opening Balance" in the account settings is certainly normal and common. - quote - > I already had the > accounts before I started using Money and the first entry was a payment. |

Within a credit card account, the balanced is what you owe. A black> I owe balances on show as black which should mean no balance. > How do I change this? balance of $100 in the register would correspond to the bottom of the register saying "You Owe 100.00". On the starting balance for a credit card, a positive number is money you owe. Sometimes people put a negative number in when they owe money. Money interprets this as if you had a credit balance to start. What you probably want to do is to go to the starting balance for each credit card account and change any negative number there to a positive number. |
