Thanks for the OFX section.

Farther in there will be something like this that uses that same
784924755 UNIQUEID, such as this:
=========================================
<MFINFO<SECINFO<SECID<UNIQUEID> 784924755</UNIQUEID<UNIQUEIDTYPE> CUSIP
</SECID<SECNAME> (XXXXX) TD WATERHOUSE BANK MONEY MARKET ACCOUNT*
<TICKER> XXXXX
</SECINFO</MFINFO=====================================

Is it in an <MFINFO> (as in my example), an <STOCKINFO> , or what?

Also, does that "784924755" string occur in any BUY*, SELL* or
other than <SPLIT> transactions? I am guessing not based on various
descriptions.

Are you folks with this new problem old TD Waterhouse customer or
Ameritrade customers? I suspect old Ameritrade customers.

What is the XXXXX in this case?

Default microsoft money 2004 ameritrade download issues

I'm having the same problems and just sent an email to ameritrade support asking them to confirm if the issue is being looked at. Glad to know it's not just my system.

I just did get the following from Ameritrade

"We apologize for the delay in our response. At this time, there is a known
issue with the way our system reports the split and dividend information to
the OFX. Our Technology department is working to resolve this issue as soon
as they can. Thank you for your patience. "

OK. In OFX version 1.02, which Money supports, the
OLDUNITS,NEWUNITS,NUMERATOR,and DENOMINATOR need to be integers. So
looks like the inconsistency is an additional problem.

If it were actually dividend that was reinvested, they shouldn't be
entering it as a split anyway.

Let's hope they get that fixed.

Headers are exactly the same as above.

The Split transaction looks like this:
<SPLIT<INVTRAN<FITID> 2372386318</FITID<DTTRADE> 20060804150133</DTTRADE<MEMO> DIVIDEND REINVESTMENT (SHARES)</MEMO</INVTRAN<SECID<UNIQUEID> 784924755</UNIQUEID<UNIQUEIDTYPE> CUSIP</UNIQUEIDTYPE</SECID<SUBACCTSEC> CASH</SUBACCTSEC<OLDUNITS> 155.223</OLDUNITS<NEWUNITS> 156.113</NEWUNITS<NUMERATOR> 1</NUMERATOR<DENOMINATOR> 1</DENOMINATOR</SPLIT
So numerator and denominator are integers, but the math for the number of
shares would not work out.

In your OFX (*RS.txt) file, does it start this way, or what?:

======================================
OFXHEADER:100
DATA:OFXSGML
VERSION:102
====================================

I have learned that the data definition files for the OFX specs does
call for the OLDUNITS and NEWUNITS to be integers.

I have not seen fractional splits, but I don't see anything in the
OFX specs that forbid them.

Here is an example of a split record:

==============================================
<SPLIT<INVTRAN<FITID> 20060530000000000010001212
<DTTRADE> 20060530120000.000[-5:EST]
<DTSETTLE> 20060602120000.000[-5:EST]
</INVTRAN<SECID<UNIQUEID> 123456789
<UNIQUEIDTYPE> CUSIP
</SECID<SUBACCTSEC> CASH
<OLDUNITS> 100
<NEWUNITS> 200
<NUMERATOR> 200
<DENOMINATOR> 100
</SPLIT
==============================================

Is your's pretty much like that except for different numbers?

Let's hope that works, but it could help to identify what it is
about the SPLIT record that is amiss.

Cal, thanks for the pointer on how to get the OFX data files saved.

With a bunch of trial and error, I did find that the OFX file had some
rather strange SPLIT transactions to represent reinvested dividends - i.e.
a SPLIT from 155.01 to 156.32 to show that I got a dividend. After
removing all those SPLIT transactions from the OFX file it worked fine, and
got my account up to date!

Wondering if this is a recent change by Ameritrade, and/or whether I'm
unique in having this type of problem???

Now to get Ameritrade to actually fix this....

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/911941/en-us tells how. In Money
2004, the registry setting is sticky.

Default Ameritrade downloads stopped working

About a month ago Ameritrade downloads stopped working, into Money 2004

Update log says "there is a problem with the data received from this online
provider. If the problem persists, call the providers customer service
number for help"

Download about 10 other FI's with no problems. In addition about a week
ago my hard disk crapped out, and I had to reinstall everything on a new
disk. Problem remains. Deleted Ameritrade online services and re-enabled,
but do difference.

Talked with Ameritrade today, and they say everything on their side is
fine, and it must be Microsoft.

Anyone else have problems with Ameritrade? Or have any suggestions

I thought I'd at least look at the data file that comes down, but can't
find any such files. Anyone know where they are?

Thanks
