So Microsoft contracts with the third party to provide the access. I suggest you open a support case with Microsoft if you bought Money separately. |

| I have checking and savings accounts at North Fork Bank, and they're listed as a "Direct Service" institution with MS Money. I've started the process of setting up auto updates dozens of times over the last several months, using my the username and password from the bank's website, as instructed. Sometimes the process fails right away, and somethimes I am taken tantalizingly close to finishing the process-- Money sometimes begins to pull up account numbers, but then fizzles. I always get the message "Your accounts couldn't be updated with infromation from your bank or brokerage." Since I've been facing this for several months now, am I to give up? Are others having similar problems with setting up these "Direct Service" banking updates? My understanding is that this isn't my bank's fault, but rather the "third party provider" used by Microsoft. |
