Normally you would get 87.5 shares and Money would offer to enter a> worked perfectly! Thanks! sell in the register for the half share. You enter an estimate for the price to be received. The institution sells the fractional share and credits your account fro the proceeds called Cash In Lieu (CIL). In Money you go back to the sell of the fractional share and make the CIL amount be the proceeds of the Sell of the fractional share. - quote - > I'm still concerned about the previous stock split entries and don't know > how to delete an incorrect entry other than deleting and re-entering the > original stock purchases. > "Mark" <abcd[at]abcd.com> wrote in message > news:OXAQx9jwGHA.4880[at]TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... > > Or put in 87 for 100, since 7/8 is actually .875 (unless the broker > > actually does track that half share for you). > > > "Cal Learner-- MVP" <via_newsgroup[at]please.tnx> wrote in message > > news:dlk9e29p7gvejm1fnv7tv8ddjo6p28uqdt[at]4ax.com... > > > In microsoft.public.money, Dick Bell wrote: > > > > > > Two questions: > > > > 1) How do you delete an incorrect stock split entry? > > > > > Go to the investment details. > > > UpdatePrices-> UpdatePricesManually Look through the > > > table and find the entries in the Source column that say "Stock > > > Split". | The 7 for 8 shares gave the wrong number of shares, however, the 87 for 100 worked perfectly! Thanks! I'm still concerned about the previous stock split entries and don't know how to delete an incorrect entry other than deleting and re-entering the original stock purchases. | Or put in 87 for 100, since 7/8 is actually .875 (unless the broker actually does track that half share for you). | Two questions: 1) How do you delete an incorrect stock split entry? 2) I've never successfully recorded a stock split on the first try. In the case at hand my broker tell me it's an 8 to 7 reverse split. I have a 100 shares and should end up with 87. I tried putting in 8/7 and 7/8, both gave me the incorrect number of share. |
