There are hard choices, no doubt. If the handheld app is a deal breaker,
there you have one.

Hey i'm not going to complain. I'm running Money 2000 on Windows
98SE.

But then i'm forever going to be using Money 2000 since Microsoft
stopped supporting the handheld platform.

Seems like a straightforward answer to a simple question. Perhaps "Yes,
someone does have an idea how." would have been more to your liking?

That was a very helpful answer.

I'm not the worlds biggest fan of M07, but M98 was the single buggiest
version of Money ever, bar none. Running M98 on W98 in 2006 seems like a
textbook example of masochism. You should be grateful they are trying to
force people in this condition to seek help.

See http://umpmfaq.info/faqdb.php?q=180 for the answer to the question you
didn't ask: how does one upgrade M98 files to M06/7?

Default Windows 98 Money files

Unfortunately Microslop in their infinite wisdom saw fit to not provide for
upgrading Windows 98 Money files in the 2007 version. So much for product
loyalty... I just got rid of my Windows 98 PC and bought a new Dell. I
don't dare try to install the '98 version on XP (dll hell)... Does anyone
have any idea how to convert my .mny files to the new version
