| B of A is a pain syncing via MSN Money. When you change the Standardized Payee Names settings as mentioned, you'll find that Money only brings over a limited amount of characters from the MSN Money description field. Many B of A transactions will come over as blank, as the ignored numbers preceding the text exceed the maximum number of characters. It's a 'catch22' configuration setting. With B of A, the OFX file download from their site is much better than MSN Money sync, transaction matching works very well with their file. | Bank of America adds a transaction's date to the payee field. For instance, a transaction from Donland's on August 8, 2006 will be downloaded as "0808 DONLANDS", while a Donland's August 10, 2006 transaction will be downloaded as "0810 DONLANDS". Is there a way to configure Preferred Payee Names with wildcards so that the date portion of the download is ignored and only "Donland's" is entered into the register? |
