Interestingly, it's now giving me subtly different answers ...

Cal,

Thanks ... it enabled Money to work. Cleared all the lifetime planning
data, but relatively easy to re-create due to my familiarity.

http://money.mvps.org/downloads/patches.aspx has some patch files
which have registry entries prepared to reset the lifetime planner.

Default Money 2006 Crashes when doing Lifetime Planner

Folks,

Using Money 2006. Working on lifetime planner, and was looking at
sensitivity of tax rate on future wealth (or lack thereof because of
taxes). Wasn't getting what I expected as I incremented tax rate from
31% to 32%, etc. So I changed to 90%. Immediately Money crashed. When
I restarted Money, could get into the accounts (far as I can tell), but
whenever clicking on retirement planner, Money crashes.

I tried doing the advanced repair facility to no effect. I've tried
writing to backup and then opening the backup file, to no effect.

I can go to my backup money file, but it's about a week old and I don't
remember all the transactions made in the last week (been busy with the
file).

Any thoughts on how to restore the file?
