Jim,

Direct download is where the bank itself supports downloads into Money.
Since ING does not currently support this method, your only option is
to use the third party method within Money.

The responsibility for problems one may have using the third party
method within Money (whether for successful account setup or reliable
updates) is conveniently placed with the third party by Microsoft and
sometimes vice versa.

Regards,
JB

I forgot to mention that I am now using Money 2007 Deluxe and I am still
unable to directly download the transactions from ING Direct.

The third party aggregator is Yodlee.com as far as I can tell.

Now, with my Yodlee MoneyCenter account I can directly download transactions
from my ING Direct account. So it is possible and the company that MS is
using is actually doing it already. So I just don't understand why MS Money
can't do it.

This is very frustrating!

The third party aggregator does not seem to work either.
ING Direct rejects the information.
And as was replied, this is likely because of the enhanced
authentication scheme.
Guess i'll settle with downloading statements manually.
Is there anyone that have gotten it to work in Money 2006?

Also, recently ING switched to a really complex log in to the web
site. I suspect that CashEdge will have a difficult time trying to
navigate it. It is almost as if ING is trying to thwart Money access
via third party.

The operative word in the reps reply was "directly". ING stopped
supporting direct downloads to Money a few years ago. Currently, Money
uses a third party aggregator to supply account data, thus the
"dialog...for your PIN, Password, Birth year...etc".

Default ING Direct and Money 2006

I have just talked to an ING Direct representative who said, "I believe
we stopped supporting Money transactions directly. Let me check our
website. Yeah, we dont support it anymore."

So, my question is, will Microsoft Money be updated to get rid of the
misleading dialog that asks for your Pin, Password, Birth year,
Birthday, etc. when setting up direct online service to ING Direct?

Or is this an ING Direct thing?

Judging from passed posts and the recent phone call, I think its
Microsoft. But, not sure.

Thanks for any help.
