I don't propose to suggest how to deal with Win2000, but that sounds
like a reasonable action.

You could try reinstalling Money 2004 into a different folder. Make
that the same drive that your Win2000 is installed on.

Hey Cal:

Unfortunately, sample.mny does not open up in my money file.

I'm the only user on account and admin.

I'm stuck, any suggestion? Do I reinstall Win2000 then reinstall Money 2004?

Thanks.
Jeff

The better place to find it is in your Money install folder which is
typically in C:\Program Files\

That would be a characteristic of the user in Windows 2000.

Cal-Lerner

Thanks for replying, I'll give it a shot.
So I'm assuming you are referring to the "sample.mny" in my installation CD,
right?

Where is the option to instal and run as admin? I have never seen this
option.

Thanks.

See if you can open Sample.mny in your install folder.

Make sure that you are both installing and running as administrator.

Default Message: Money Not properly installed, recs not working, help!

Just got this message yesterday when I opened MOney 2004 STandard version
(never happened before)

"money is not properly installed. plese set up again"

I uninstalled and reinstalled money but still getting same error messages
I tried the options of opening a existing Money file, will not open my
existing data file
I tried create a new file but it give me error message that it can't save
I tried repairing "my money" file but ti will not let me repair, it gave me
this message about possibly being a read only file
it will not let me restore any back up file

Help! I don't know what else to do. I uninstall and reinstall three times
and no luck.
Did something happens with my OS? I'm running Win 2000.

Thanks
