I found that adding a character like an asterik or a period to the
downloaded Payee Name DID NOT make Money ask for payee confirmation.
HOWEVER, I did find that if I simply add a space between two of the
words OR delete one letter, THEN Money will ask me to confirm the
Payee. At this point I can say no. Then this downloaded payee is not
added to my Payee List, but I still have all the Payee information that
was downloaded. This is one extra step that I SHOULDN'T have to take,
but it will work for me until Microsoft fixes this problem (maybe in
2011).

Yes, you are right. It is just the downloaded transactions that cause
me this problem. In the past versions I knew I was asked to confirm
sometimes and then I wasn't asked at other times... I just never
investigated to figure out why. I am doing this now because I'm tired
of scanning my payee list and deleting all those payees that creep in
over time.

I did find a work around solution I can use... I can just add a
character to the downloaded payee, maybe I'll use a * or something like
that, and then it will ask me to confirm (or deny) the payee. To make
this work I'll just have to remember to add the * every time.
