I would copy your Money 2003 file to eric07.mny. I would open that
file, and let Money 2007 convert it. If you like what happened when
you put the Passport/WindowsLiveID on that new file, go to the
account list and select ManageOnlineServices. Set up each account
for online access. You will have duplicate accounts initially. Click
MergeDuplicateAccounts from the Account List to take care of those.

Default upgrade to 2007

I did a trial upgrade to Money 2007 with the intent of opening and upgrading
my existing 2003 .mny file.

When I started the program, it initially asked me for all of my bank info
before I could open my old file, and before I knew it, it had downloaded all
of my unreconciled transactions from my bank into a new .mny file. How do I
move these into my old file?

Any help appreciated.
