Default Re: Chk # not auto, entered into both accts?

hi

Not sure about yours but when I did a transfer, and used down the drop down
accts, while transferring from cc. I would click new, and in the from: click
my checkign acct. then to: I would click teh credit card acct, then fill in
the information. in the number I would hit the check number.
Because in the form, it was my checking acct, and I entered the number, it
would automatically enter that number.
I just found what I think is the problem or a bug.
When I did it and got the problem I was in the balance for the cc.
I just tried doing it by transferring it, rather than in the balance the
acct.
I would assume then this is possibly a bug? Works in the transfer, but
didn't seem to work in the balance, when after it is balanced you click the
pay from this acct. Have to wait till next statement to check

I'm not sure I've ever seen a Num show up in both sides of a transfer.
Further, if it ever does, I'd argue that's the bug. From my experience, if
you entered the transfer as a transfer from in the credit card account and
entered the check number for the transfer to account in the transaction, I'd
expect what you see. Can't say what you've seen in the past, but I'd think
you might want to open a test file and play around with this to better
characterize the behavior.

Default Chk # not auto, entered into both accts?

Wondering if this is another bug. My July monthly report came up, looking at
it showed a check gap.
So I looked under my checking acct. didnt see the number, did a search. When
I was in my credit card and payed an xtra payment, I put the check number in
on the transfer, like I always did before, and it always showed up under
both accts. checking and credit card, automatically.
This one it entered it in the cc, but not the checking acct.?

Is this another bug?
