Yes I was able to get a refund from the digital river web site and it was a
pretty easy process. Thanks for the response.

The email you received after purchasing Essentials should have a link to
http://findmyorder.com
From there you can enter your order number and request a refund and then
purchase Deluxe.

Yes that helped me pretty much. I guess I need to call Microsoft Sales to
find out how to get Deluxe version after I've already paid for Essentials one?

Thanks

Found it on the 'Free Trial FAQ page':

http://www.microsoft.com/money/freet...90-Day%20Trial

"By default, Money Essentials Trial will install into a different folder
than your current version of Money. However, because Money Essentials is
designed for new users, you cannot open a previous Money file and will need
to create a new file in Money Essentials."

You'll need Money 2007 Deluxe as a minimum. Money Essentials seems to be
intended as nothing much more than a 'PC front end' to your online banking -
it doesn't even handle split transactions. Everything is supposed to be
downloaded and automatically generated from your bank data.

Strangely, I found something somewhere that explained all of this but
looking at the Microsoft site now, I can't see it anywhere.

Default Converting from Money 2006

I recently bought and downloaded Microsoft Money Essentials 2007. I have
been using the 2006 version and when I tried to open my 2006 data file it
said this version of Money cannot open previous versions of Money data????
Nowhere I could find on the Microosft Money website does it say that?

If that's the case what version do I need to upgrade to in order to convert
my 2006 data? How do I get my money back for Microsoft Money Essentials 2007
verison or can I upgrade to another version for a discount because I've
already bought an paid for this verison?

Anyones help would be greatly appreciated.
