Money Essentials seems to be intended as nothing much more than a 'PC front end' to your online banking - it doesn't even handle split transactions. I have been using the 2006 version and when I tried to open my 2006 data file it said this version of Money cannot open previous versions of Money data???? Nowhere I could find on the Microosft Money website does it say that? If that's the case what version do I need to upgrade to in order to convert my 2006 data?
