Default 2004 Reconciliation Process

If you go to TOOLS-> OPTIONS-> ONLINE SERVICES and see what
has been selected. You can tell the system on this
dialog box not to automatically accept the transactions
as well as to not use the bank clearing date! Now, if
you have not already entered the transaction, the bank
clearing date will be used and you will have to manually
change the date, but that makes sense...

which I thought worked great. Now I have the same
promblem you have plus it is automatically entering
transactions that are in my bills and deposits instead of
just telling if they are overdue or not. It also won't
let me edit some of the downloaded transations. Let me
know if you find out anything

Default Re: 2004 Reconciliation Process

Did you know that you can set 2003 to not use the banks date and not to
automatically accept all downloaded transactions?

Default 2004 Reconciliation Process

How much more improved is the Reconciliation / balancing process in 2004 vs.
2003? I have had problems in 2003 with updating my checking register from
online banking statements ( ie., it changes dates of already-entered
transactions ) and am hoping for something a bit more robust. Ideally, it
would be great if the process downloaded bank statements and put them in a
"review screen," allowing the user to manually match up each transaction
instead of the software making its own assumptions.

Can anyone provide any insight on how this process works in 2004?

Thanks in advance,
Bill
