Well I went to a modified plan 1 and had an "interesting" experience.

1. I uninstalled M2007 and reinstalled M2003.
2. I did an update on M2003
3. I went to Bills and Deposits in M2003 and canceled all the APAY's
4. I then did a "clean boot" and again installed M2007.
5. This time, when I went to the Bills section, it came up OK.
6. I did the "Remove Bills" option and all the Bills disappeared.
7. I tried to recreate a new APAY and got an error message.
8. I did an Internet Update, and the previously (or so I thought) canceled
APAY's reappeared! They must have been downloaded from CheckFree (my bill
paying service).

I then checked with CheckFree customer support and, indeed, my APAY's were on
their system and properly scheduled. So M2007 and CheckFree are in sync. But
I don't understand why the APAY cancellation from M2003 didn't "take".

Interesting.

Your other plan sounds good. However here is one more thing that
seems worth a try first: go to
Tools-Settings-HomePageDisplaySettings and Remove everything from
the 'home page'.

See if http://support.microsoft.com/kb/900969/en-us applies.

Default 2007 Bills Error

OK, I downloaded and installed M2007.

When I go to display the scheduled Bills, I get an error message that the
program has to shut down.

I did both the quick repair and the standard (level 2) repair.

I tried to do the Remove all Bills feature, but received a message that I
should first cancel the Apays. Obviously, since I can't get at that section of
the program, I can't cancel the Apays. (I have four Apays).

Suggestions?

I have reinstalled 2003 and could cancel the Apays there, and then go back and
reinstall 2007, and try the remove all Bills feature, but wanted to check here
first.

Thanks.
