I am having the exact same problem at about the exact same time as you-except
I'm using Money 2003. I also have Earthlink's Protection Control Center in
place and only have problems when it is on. The error also indicates a
W32/Threat-Trojan-BLOOP-based!Maximus virus is present, which I can't
actually locate even though it indicates the virus has been quarantined
somewhere.

This one has me very frustrated to say the least! Wonder if this is
something new?

I think I need someone pretty smart to help me with this -
Yesterday Windows Installer, for Microsoft Money 2004, popped up on my
screen for no rhyme or rhythm. I went ahead and inserted the CD when it told
me to, but, then Earthlink’s Protection Control Center pops up sayng a Virus
is Detected. The File name is namoney.exe.
I know, now, that namoney.exe is a component of Microsoft Money and not a
virus (and) I realize that AntiVirus and Firewall programs will suspect .exe
applications as a virus.
But, Why Am I Having This Problem Now when I've had Microsoft Money
installed in this computer since 2004 and EarthLink for over a year and this
has never happened before. I can't start Microsoft Money without the Windows
Installer starting. Same thing happens if I shut off my computer and turn it
back on.
I disabled EarthLink's Protection Control Center, today, as per EarthLink’s
instructions and then did a reinstall Microsoft Money. Microsoft Money
opened OK then ~ no problem ~ *Until* I opened EarthLink's Protection Control
Center ~ I'm back to the same problem.
I cannot find namoney.exe on my computer.
I deleted all my cookies and temporary internet files, but, that didn’t help.
This is so annoying and I don’t know what to do next.
