| I'm trying it out now... I tried Spb Finance AGAIN, but once again, syncing was terrible! And no matter what I did, I never could remove all the little pieces of it off my PPC! I love the other Spb software, but this one has syncing problems. Am now testing CO and I can safely say that the syncing on it is MUCH faster and MUCH more reliable. Will continue to test till it expires... I just wish I knew if they were coming out with a newer version soon. | Yep, I did all that before (both from the desktop and the device) but somehow it left the sync stuff on there. But I rebuilt (hard-reset) my device over the weekend - and even completely removed ActiveSync and reinstalled it. Seems to work better now anyway, so when I reinstall hopefully that will help. -- ac wrote: - quote - > Don't forget to remove the program from your desktop. > "Tom" wrote: > > Ah... hmm, well, I might try it again, as I see they just put out > > another new build 2.5.1 that was supposed to have more Money sync > > fixes. | Ah... hmm, well, I might try it again, as I see they just put out another new build 2.5.1 that was supposed to have more Money sync fixes. However, I think I will email the company first and see what they say before I re-install it. As I mentioned, I did try it before and it was taking too long to sync (not to mention trying to sync EVERYTHING). Plus, I found that when I removed it it didn't remove everything (i.e. it was still showing up on my ActiveSync list)... I just rebuilt my iPAQ so I want to hear what Sbp says first before I try it again. I'll let you know what I hear and how it works for me. Thanks for all the info. | I am in the US, it changed my currency to show USD instead of "$". I changed it back in the settings, but when I tried to download my on-line accounts it gave me an error about USD. Yes, you can choose to sync a certain amount of time (month, quarter, etc.). I noticed when I elected a manual sync only it still tried to sync each time which was still taking a long time and slowing everything down (I had current quarter only). Have you tried downloading your accounts? "Tom" wrote: - quote - > AC: I am assuming that you are NOT in the US, correct? | AC: I am assuming that you are NOT in the US, correct? I can see why the currency would be a problem if you are not in the US, but I am so that shouldn't be an issue... Also I don't use Money Central (I keep my money in it's own password-protected database) so I don't see that affecting me. Other than those two things, what other issues did you see as a problem? I tried Spb Finance, and my issues were: (1) My money file is 6+ years, and it takes FOREVER to sync it the first time! And even then (2) It keep telling me that I had 4000+ transactions it couldn't sync. And finally (3) It would be nice to be able to specify that it 'sync' only the last xx years worth, rather than the WHOLE database. I may ask Sbp about these issues, but still wondering what else you discovered about it that really turned you off. I may be willing to re-try it again (maybe, cause I really like having my money with me on my PPC) but am somewhat hesitant due to the issue I first experienced and others reported here. Has ANYONE out there successfully used Spb Finance with MS Money? -- ac wrote: - quote - > It caused me problems, and at least one other post I noticed here. > We both had trouble with it changing the currency to USD and even > when you think you corrected it it wasn't - this caused a problem > then trying to get online account updates (banks, etc.). Let me see if I have this straight: WM 5.0 has been out now for more> 2006 doesn't suppolrt WM5 devices) then I need to look at other > possibilities. > Would like to know anyone's ideas/experiences with this Sbp Finance PPC > program - especially with (a) Syncing of data with MS Money, and (b) > Experince with sycing with LARGE MS Money files (i.e. Mine is around 6+ > years worth and 45MB+). > Chimp (Tom) than nine months and Money still doesn't support it? It's now July 22, 2006. I got my WM 5.0 ppc back in December of 2005 and even then the OS was out before then. ----== Posted via Newsfeeds.Com - Unlimited-Unrestricted-Secure Usenet News==---- http://www.newsfeeds.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! 120,000+ Newsgroups ----= East and West-Coast Server Farms - Total Privacy via Encryption =---- |

| It caused me problems, and at least one other post I noticed here. We both had trouble with it changing the currency to USD and even when you think you corrected it it wasn't - this caused a problem then trying to get online account updates (banks, etc.). I also messed up my web money central and have yet to get that reset (another post of mine). I ended up uninstalling. I was also looking at Cash Organizer, but was unable to get that to successfully install. I think we are out of luck, and Money 05 worked so well. | OK, now since MS Money 2007 does NOT include Pocket Money (and Money 2006 doesn't suppolrt WM5 devices) then I need to look at other possibilities. Would like to know anyone's ideas/experiences with this Sbp Finance PPC program - especially with (a) Syncing of data with MS Money, and (b) Experince with sycing with LARGE MS Money files (i.e. Mine is around 6+ years worth and 45MB+).
