If you defer posting on the epays while recording them, then select certain
epays to post, I believe M06 shows the effect on the balance. That does not
happen in the bills and statements list, but while selecting deferred epays
to send to the bank.

The capability with EPAY was also there in M06

In M2007, that feature seems to work for multiple bills where the payment
method is Electronic Payment (EPAY). There's a check box available for those
bills, and checking multiple boxes shows the cumulative effect on the bank
account.

There does not seem to be a way of selecting multiple Bills, unless they are
EPAYs.

Does anyone know if you can do this in Quicken? Not that I want to switch,
but eventually I am going to want to get off Money 2005, and this is just a
show stopper issue for me.

Yes. It used to work pre-M02.

I agree. I was thinking one or multiple selected both failed to get a
"balance after" reported at the bottom in M06. Now you are making me think
it's just the multiple select that doesn't get a "balance after" reported at
the bottom. I'd revisit it myself, but I've blown away M06 and am probably
not going back to reinstall it--the bill recreation fairy willing and
performance staying good after doing so.

I was just hoping to clarify the scope of the issue/what's changed.

I'm in the same boat. I'm tempted to purchase 2007 and then call in about it
missing again. I'm not sure how else to log any type of complaint, not that
I expect it to do much good. They obviously won't listen to all of the
people who have complained about this missing.

Yes, it was able to select multiple bills in to see how it would affect your
ending balance. When I installed 2006 and found that didn't work I called in
the tech support. The gentleman had to do some checking but came back and
said it appeared that it had been taken out of the code but didn't show why.
Apparently I wasn't the only that had complained. He said it would be
submitted as a bug since removing that capability did nothing to improve the
product. They helped me backout to 2005 and cherrfully refunded my money.
He expected it to be corrected in 2007. Since it's not I guess i'm stuck
with 2005 until the next version comes out.
Thanks....

By "Enter" do you mean enter multiple selected bills into the register? If
so, I doubt it, but I've never tried. I believe his question was in regards
to selecting multiple bills to see the resulting balance though, not entering
them into the register. So only being able to select one bill and see the
balance as opposed to multiples like M05 is still a bug, or a feature removal
with zero benefit.

That's not correct. Money 2005 allowed you to select multiple bills
affecting the same account and have the balance of the account, taking those
bills into account, shown at the bottom. They broke the feature in 2006.

That sounds fixed to me. The multi-select has never returned since M02,

This was not fixed in 2007. 2007 allows you to highlight a single bill and
see it's affect on the account, but not select multiple bills.

You're the first I've heard say that MS admitted it was a bug, so you're one
step ahead of the rest of us in terms of getting them to correct the issue.
I backed out of 2006 also due to this one issue, and many others are
irritated by it, so keep us posted on anything you find out.

Default Money 2007 Bills

One feature that was available in 2005 but removed in 2006 was the ability to
highlight mulitiple bill entries which then showed the resulting balance. I
called MS and was told that was a bug which should be corrected in 2007.
Before I buy this product I would like to know if this has been corrected. I
backed out to 2005 and got a refund on 2006 without any problems but am not
going to bother with the new version if this has not been fixed.
