1. No the time out applies to the version that is running.

2. No if you read the EULA it says words to the effect x years from first
installing OR a fixed date.

3. Have a look at the EULA in Help - that will confirm when the fixed date
is but as Dick says it is 1st Sept 2006 for M2004.

I am using Money 2004 and have three questions related to expiration of
online services:

1. If I buy Money 2007 and register it, can I continue to use online
services in Money 2004 and leave Money 2007 basically unused?

2. I'm not sure what constitutes "activation". I've completely
reloaded my hard drive several times since I originally purchased &
installed Money 2004. Does this reset the "activation" time?

3. Is there any way for me to see what date Money 2004 thinks is my
activation date?

I quote the End User License Agreement (Help|About|License Agreement):

2. DESCRIPTION OF OTHER RIGHTS AND LIMITATIONS.
. Expiration of Online Services. In accordance with the Microsoft Money
2004 Online Services Policy, you will not be able to use the Online Services
of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT (such as the ability to automatically and online:
1) track and update your accounts and investment values inside the SOFTWARE
PRODUCT, 2) synchronize financial data with MSNŽ Money, 3) pay bills, and 4)
communicate with your financial institutions) after expiration of the
following time periods:
. Microsoft Money 2004 Deluxe/Microsoft Money 2004 Premium/Microsoft Money
2004 Small Business: The earlier of three (3) years after your activation
of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT or September 1, 2007.
. Microsoft Money 2004 Standard: The earlier of two (2) years after your
activation of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT or September 1, 2006.

Default Money 2004

I bought 2005 and 2006, but don't use them. I still use Money 2004. Will the sync function stop at some point? Is there something that will happen with 2004 at some point or am I good to keep using it until I retire?
