that? Are you referring to the spb finance as referenced in theFebruary UK postings? Did you uninstall spb finance and/or Start-> Programs-> Accessories-> SystemTools-> SystemRestore to a point before you installed spb finance? - quote - > I still get the same error > though. | well I thought that would have done the trick. I still get the same error though. I even looked through the rest of the currencies and changed ones that had been switch to symbols. Is there any way to set those all to the defaults? I uninstalled and reinstalled money which I thought would have done that but no luck. | Thanks Cal. Those all check out. The one that was a little different was my 401(k) account. It has no section for what type of currency in the accounts settings. When I update only one account at a time it says the same message for each account even though they are done one at a time. I recently installed spb finance so I wonder if that screwed me up a bit. I e-mail their support to see if they have any thoughts but have not heard back. I get no error I only > get a message that says "Money needs an exchange rate for currency is one or > more accounts." The only thing is I have not changed anything and all my > accounts are in US dollars. Has anyone seen this or know how > to fix it? the cause of the problem, but are worth checking anyway: Tools-> Settings-> ProgramSettings-> UpdateCurrencies, and in the list, make sure the entry for United States US dollar says BASE in the ExhangeRate column. Portfolio-> Change portfolio settings and be sure Portfolio Currency is shown as "US dollar". For the Account Settings for each account, make sure the Currency is listed as "US dollar". Assuming those checked out, I would try to isolate which update is causing the problem. For this, I would go to AccountList-> UpdateNow, and de-select all but one account. See if you get the error associated with a single account. If so, then consider posting the financial institution involved. Depending on the access type, there could be a logging process that could give some info. |

| I have MS money 2005 and my online updates have been working great for about a year now. Recently online updates stopped working. I get no error I only get a message that says "Money needs an exchange rate for currency is one or more accounts." The only thing is I have not changed anything and all my accounts are in US dollars. I can run just the Quotes and exchange rates update and that works but my other accounts will still not update because they keep saying the need an exchange rate. Has anyone seen this or know how to fix it? |
