Default Re: Upgrading from Money 1999 to 2000

I downloaded the trial version of Money 2004 and
proceeded to convert the file. It goes through the
motions but no account or other data is available.

I have to say I'm feeling really frustrated. I think I'll
go back to Money 1999 and work with it until I can find
another product that I can work with.

I only have one 1999 file. It says its converting. I've
tried converting both backups (hard disk and floppy)
without success. I downloaded the trial version of Money
2004 and proceeded to convert the file. It goes through
the motions but no account or other data is available.

I have to say I'm feeling really frustrated. I think I'll
go back to Money 1999 and work with it until I can find

Interesting. I'm assuming that there isn't a "country version" problem as
the US and Canadian versions have always been closely related. Have you
tried a more recent version of Money to see if that works? I found that
Money 2004 is able to convert some files that earlier versions could not.

Does 2000 open other files or can you create a new file? Does it say it's
converting? Do you have a backup that you can try to restore? You may want
to try the 2004 trial and see if it can convert it and if it does, just go
to that version.

Default Upgrading from Money 1999 to 2000

Money 2000 goes through the motions of opening my Money
1999 File but doesn't actually open it. I can't get
access to four years worth accounts and files. I used the
Salvage utility on the file but the log said there were
no problems with the file and it still doesn't work. Any
help?
