It synced fine for a couple of days, then got stuck midways & I had to restore my Money file from backup. I'm not saying it's a bad software - obviously it'd be out of business if it didn't work for most users. However in my case, it screwed up my file so repeatedly that I have reservations about its reliability - at least with my particular file - and don't want to trust it with my data. YMMV, of course. Generally software from Spb is very good, and I'm sure the features are up there with best of the crop, but for me data safety comes first & foremost (and besides, CO is also extremely feature rich). - quote - > Amamba wrote: > > Tom wrote: > > > AC: I'd like to know your experiences with Sbp Finance... | You might try the most recent version of Sbp Finance (2.4.1?). A year ago I was so disappointed with how slow it was I gave up on the program, but recently d/l and installed the newer version and it seems to be working very well. It took maybe 5 minutes to sync 5922 items on the 1st sync. I'm glad I saved the serial #. Amamba wrote: - quote - > Tom wrote: > > AC: I'd like to know your experiences with Sbp Finance... I tried it several times over the last couple of years and never got it to sync right. I ended up buying Cash Organizer from Inesoft - it has more or less the same features and its sync engine is ironclad reliable. At least for me it has been. I would've bought it last year but it was a bit pricey. Now that they've dropped to $25 it's attractive enough. My only two complaints about CO are that (1) it doesn't sync Planned transactions to Money's Bills (but then AFAIK no other program does either), and (2) they for whatever reason closed their user forum, and don't answer emails unless you have a major support issue (which I didn't yet). On the other hand, it's been so far very reliable for a day to day use, and it has a nice reporting capability, so I only use MS Money now for special stuff like mortgage / loans / investments. |

| AC: I'd like to know your experiences with Sbp Finance... I tried it on my HP iPAQ hx2495 but it seemed to take FOREVER and never successfully synced all my data (always said 4000+ transactions not synced). I looked for this 'other post' you mentioned but didn't see it. Can you elaborate?? | I notice 07 is out now, when will we know if this is supported in 07? I have the same problem and I really messed things up when I tried to use spb finance instead (another post). | That's funny, I guess that I must be in the minority, Money 2006 does sync with my upgraded Windows Mobile 5.0 device, and I am using Microsoft Money 2006 for Pocket PC on it. Of course it appaears from the Money 2007 web site, that Microsoft has no intention to release a Windows Mobile version of Money 2007. It is a shame really because it just makes more sense than having your personal finanical information on a web site!
