I have been downloading from Schwab for many years and have not had any
problems. I am still downloading even today. I am using Money 2004 but I
have used Money 2005 & 6 without problems.

I would create a brand new account and setup Schwab for a test (stop
antivirus, antispam and firewall for the test). I assume you are using IE
6? Also, I would try loading only the very minimum of programs for the
test.

I even added the site to "trusted zones" on IE and temporarily disabled the
firewall...nothing.

OK...I just enabled "SSL 2.0" as well as 3.0 and it works. Maybe something
in the last security patch goofed it up.

This is just a crude test: If you connect to https://ofx.schwab.com/
in IE6, do you get a page where the title is "Netscape Enterprise
Server Home Page" first words are "An enterprise-strength web"? If
so, that is the same as I get. If you don't get that, perhaps there
is some firewall setting blocking you. If you do get that, we can't
draw a lot of inference then.

We don't see a lot of postings about accessing Schwab. I don't know
if their servers seldom have problems, or something else makes
Schwab users not post frequently.

I've been getting "An Internet communication error occurred. Please try your
call again later. (OFXIE 12029)" whenever I try to download from Schwab. I
can get quotes just fine, though,

I have:
-Confirmed my firewall is allowing 100% access to Money 2004
-Checked the MSFT site; they acknowleged the problem on the network status
site (http://moneycentral.msn.com/common/networkstatus.asp) until today; now
nothing. Also the Knowledge Base article that discusses this error and has a
troubleshooting guide is now gone.
-Uninstalled the accounts on Money...now I'm trying to reinstall and getting
the error on reinstallation.

Am I the only one with this problem?
