Nothing is ever clear on our paystub.

For a defined benefit plan, I'm not sure why to even track it in Money. You
could just expense it. It's not like investment performance is going to
directly effect your future value or anything. That's why they call it
defined benefit not defined contribution.

The paystub should make clear that it's pre-tax.

Default Pension plan setup

Hi,

My company offers both 401k and defined benefit pension plans, so I
have withdrawals from my paycheck into both.

What's the right way to track the defined benefit plan contributions &
future value ? I don't even know if the contributions are pre-tax like
401k.
