| I have the Providian PayPal Visa (not the PayPal Plus one) and it supports automatic downloading of transactions. Unfortunately, Money 2k6 is still broken, so it doesn't get them. :-( "glfrankel[at]gmail.com" wrote: - quote - > My current credit card (through Bank of America) requires me to > manually download my transactions into Money (2006). | Money 2002 directly downloads transactions from Citicards. I download the Citi Dividend Platinum Card just about every day. I assume M2006 would work too. Bill Wood |

| I have a Citibank Platinum Mastercard that seems like it works well with Direct Services. | My current credit card (through Bank of America) requires me to manually download my transactions into Money (2006). I've done this for a while, but find it a nuisance -- especially after getting a United Airlines credit card, which, to my delight, supports automatic downloading of transactions. I want to move away from credit cards which charge annual fees (both of these airline-specific cards do) and want to make sure whatever card I choose supports automatic downloading into Money. I've been able to do a good amount of research on reward/cash-back cards (and, boy, can the fine print be confusing). But even after I've narrowed down the playing field, I'm still left wondering if the card I'm about to choose integrates fully with Money. I've found Money's web page which lists the banks it supports (http://www.microsoft.com/money/bankonline.aspx). But this information appears insufficient because it doesn't specifically call out which banks support automatic updating (e.g., Bank of America is listed.) I realize the onus is on the banks to make updating work, but I'd also think Money could call out companies that have been identified as "Gold Star" partners. So, I'm left searching through the Money newsgroups to see if anyone else has mentioned particular credit card companies. For example, one good card appears to be the Citi Dividend Platinum Select Card. But from searching this newsgroup, it looks like Citibank doesn't support Money very well. (It seems to be Quicken-focused.) My question to you guys: Beyond specific credit card recommendations (I'm all ears)... (1) Is there a good way of figuring out which banks/CCs support automatic updating (auto-downloading of transactions) before one signs up with them? (2) Has anyone compiled a list of "Plays-well-with-Money" banks and/or CC companies? (For example, I recently learned -- after much head-banging -- that E*trade only supports automatic updating for its Brokerage accounts, but *not* for its Checking accounts, which must be done manually via QIF files.) Thanks. |
