I saw the recommendation to sync without using MICROSOFT.....what are the
options?

Why not just have her move all her accounts to places that update
independently of Microsoft. They still work fine.

The easiest way to check out if the problem is on their side or your side is
to create a new file and try to sync the accounts that will not sync in your
present file.

I actually received an email from Microsoft in response to my final plea and
this is a cut and past of it. But no I have not tried any repairs since the
first day over a month ago when I contacted them they told me they had issues
with it. I am able to download account info from my bank accounts and one
credit account but that is it. I have various accounts that I track online
also and about 5 of them no longer work. My error message is that "account
registration is temporary unavailable". These are all accounts that I have
tracked with my money programs for years. Only recently had trouble in the
past month. I've had the 2006 Small Business version for about 6 months.

This is Kurt with Microsoft Technical Support services. This is a known
issue with MSN and they are currently working on getting this issue resolved.
You can check for updates about this problem at
http://www.moneycentral.msn.com/comm...workstatus.asp Once this gets fixed, you
will be able to update your accounts. At this time I will close your case as
not resolved.

Please email me at your earliest convenience and let me know if anything is
unclear, please feel free to let me know. I look forward to your reply.

Our hours of operation are 5 am - 9 pm PST Mon to Fri

6 am -3 pm PST Sat and Sun

What kind of error messages, have you done both types of repairs, have you
tried just as an experiment creating a new file and doing a sync? Does
nothing sync or just some things sync?

If everything fails including new file then it is probably your
installation.

I have not been able to sync any of my accounts for well over a month now. I
have repeatedly inquired and been given case numbers but that is as for as it
gets. Occassionally I was told that the problem was fixed but it has never
been fixed for me.

I wouldn't count on it, remember this affects 2005 also. They could have
fixed it last year.

Mention of the issue didn't appear there at the time I posted, now it does --
however, whatever it says there, it's still not working. Given the length of
this issue, Money06 has become a hinderance instead of a tool. I hope all
these 'improvements' will become apparent with Money07...

Thanks for the link, had lost it from previous problems. I have tried to
update the account that is done by this method 4 times today (I still have
June 27 as the last update), July 4 and still no success. Link says it
should have been fixed yesterday. All my other accounts do update.

I haven't been able to sync Money06 with MSN Money for a few days now -- prior
to that it was working fairly well. The network status site doesn't list
anything about the issue, is anyone running into the same thing?
