Started with Wordperfect => Word :123=> Excel : Sun Java etc. This is one time that I don't blame MS though, I blame the others for not spending the cash to do the same. That's just smart marketing. ( Granted MS had the advantage in that they can bust most anything since it runs on their OS.) Intuit and others should definitely hire some code-busters to import Money into Quicken and put the app right on the Quicken CD. Pre Y2K I only used Quicken - and loved it. Then I had to go to their Windows version and it was awful. They lost me - and a lot of others. THEY should write a good program rather than trying to sell me online products in the program. Even if Quicken 2007 was great, I'd have to start with a new file again - unless they can import. Per Microsoft - you "can go back" - You can export strict QIF file, but as you know you lose a lot of info because Quicken import doesn't handle the "extra stuff". | The real problem is getting you data into Quicken. I have a 50 meg Money file with investments, credit cards, loans, etc and I tried getting the information into Quicken 2006 from Money 2004, but there are many problems. It is not as easy as the instructions say and I gave up. If you are not concerned about history, maybe it would be fine for you. Neil PS: I also have 2005 & 2006 and will not use it do to performance issues in the portfolio manager "Phiddy" <Phiddy[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:93AEB948-2307-4394-910C-E4D0077421AE[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > I have been on Microsoft's case about failure to update mutual funds for > months. > Obviously they switched to a third rate provider. | I have been on Microsoft's case about failure to update mutual funds for months. Obviously they switched to a third rate provider. For years I was updated by 4pm pacific time then "boom" service went to hell. I have 2004 and if I look at "Help" it has an on line service policy that guarantees support for 3 years. With 30+ mutual funds to update in several family accounts I am seriously mad. It would be sheer joy to take Microsoft into small claims for breach of contract but alas, you cannot get punitive damages there just a refund and court costs. Anyone have anything to say about Quicken as a replacement?
